About us

The Anecoop Sustainability Observatory is a pioneering initiative created to support Anecoop’s cooperatives and member companies in their transition towards a more sustainable and competitive agri-food model that is aligned with current market demands, European regulations and the 2030 Agenda.

We have created a technical and strategic space from which we measure, evaluate and transform data into useful and actionable knowledge, putting data science, artificial intelligence and green algorithms at the service of the agri-food sector.

We work to ensure that our member cooperatives can:

A model that has already been validated

The Observatory has demonstrated its effectiveness through a pilot project with six partner cooperatives, where real actions have been implemented in energy efficiency, waste reduction, circular economy, environmental traceability, and optimisation of water use.

A multidisciplinary team, a shared mission

The Observatory is promoted by Anecoop and the research department at Kiwa Spain. It brings together specialists in sustainability, quality, data science, digital transformation and training, with the support of universities, public institutions and leading international organisations such as the European Commission and the United Nations Global Compact.
